At HBOS Australia, this means a focus on four key areas.

1. Our customers and business partners

HBOS Australia is committed to creating customer value. We do this by offering all Australians simple, value for money products and services and by following a set of principles designed to make sure we consider our customers' needs in everything we do.

These principles guide our business decisions and actions and include policies on product design and review, advertising and promotions, sales, collections and feedback and complaints.

As part of the HBOS Group, we're also a signatory to the Equator Principles, a set of voluntary guidelines that promote responsible lending in the project financing sector.

HBOS Australia's other initiatives in this area include financial inclusion, offering products that promote savings and build wealth, improving access to banking products and services, developing strong relationships with customers and business partners and bringing competition to the marketplace.

2. Our people and workplace

This goes much further than providing the right work conditions and a healthy, safe workplace.
